THE PROJECT JUSTINE – train the trainer e. V.

MARIE DAROUICHE

Honorary member and
Inventor of the Dirndl à l’Africaine

Short biography Marie Darouiche

Born in Cameroon in 1952, Marie’s path led her to Europe and Munich.
With her love of African fabrics, it was a logical step for her to sew her first dirndl from a pagne almost 20 years ago. Initially on order, since 2010 together with her sister Rahmée under the label name NOH NEE. It was also a logical step for her to set up her own training centre for tailors in Africa with THE PROJECT JUSTINE. Marie is primarily concerned with the quality of education and travels to Benin several times a year for longer and shorter stays.

RAHMÉE WETTERICH

1st Chairwoman and
Founding member

Short biography Rahmée Wetterich

Rahmée, also born in Cameroon, was much younger than her sister Marie when she arrived in Munich. After many successful years in the fashion industry, she opened an interior design studio near Nymphenburg Palace. When Marie invented the dirndl à l’Africaine, Rahmée set the course for the fashion label NOH NEE. Rahmée is convinced that the exciting, creative exchange of world cultures will and must play a much greater role in the future. As the chairwoman of the association, she is driving the development of the training centre from both Germany and Afrilka.

BIRGIT C. SCHRYVERS

2nd Chairwoman
and Founding member

Short biography Birgit C. Schryvers

The Berlin-based artist has been campaigning for a fairer world since 1995 and founded the artists’ alliance “Art for Africa” together with other painters, draughtsmen and sculptors in 2011. The international alliance supports humanitarian projects through the sale of its art. The focus is on promoting education, training and independent work. At THE PROJECT JUSTINE – train the trainer, Birgit mainly takes care of administrative tasks.
